This wedding, man. It was one of my most anticipated of the year and I was already so excited after being contacted by Jenn and Andy because they just seemed SO cool and fun and totally people I knew I’d get along with! They love and appreciate photography and documenting moments and also understood how important it was that they have a wedding and ceremony that reflected who they are and that would be something to remember for the rest of their lives.
They booked a really cozy cabin up in Jackson, New Hampshire to hang out for the weekend and get ready in when I arrived. The timing was perfect because the foliage was in it’s prime and while it threatened to rain that day I walked up to the cabin with a bit of sun coming through the clouds and the leaves continuously falling, it was pretty dang perfect!
I connected with the two right away once things got rolling. They love food, they love cats, they love photography, the outdoors, laughing, and most importantly: each other!
While it was a sweaty hike and quite foggy, we had a lot of laughs on the way up. The fog made things really moody and magical and as the ceremony began and Jenn and Andy read their vows to each other, it could have been blazing heat and down-pouring and it was apparent that these two would have had a good time no matter what!
The best part was that Jenn and Andy trusted my vision and ideas and were totally up for stopping at any point when I saw a spot I liked. These turned out to be some of my very favorite wedding photos this year because of that and the fact that we had endless beautiful scenery to work with. The White Mountain area is just incredible this time of year!
After hiking up and down Iron Mountain in Jackson for their wedding ceremony, we went to Jackson Falls just as it was starting to get dark. It was a perfect way to end the day and what a fun thing they were able to tell their families after! Jenn and Andy had been together since high-school and decided to go right from boyfriend / girlfriend to husband and wife and surprise most of their family and friends after! They will be celebrating with their favorite people this weekend and I’m sure there will be lots of good food and donuts involved ;)
Cheers to you both Jenn and Andy! Thank you for letting me capture your adventure!
