I have a new love for elopements and small weddings after the last year! There’s something so wonderful about an intimate ceremony. I also love when couple’s know what they really want and their wedding truly reflects them and their personalities.
I went to high school with Alli and was so excited when she asked me to be her photographer for her big day. I was even more excited when she told me her plans to partially hike a mountain to a secluded spot with her fiancé John, which was also the location of their first date.
I truly enjoy unique and different ceremonies and being able to get outside for my work.
It was early March and it was very cold! We arrived to the AMC hut by Mt. Cardigan in New Hampshire before the sunrise. John hiked up first with the JOP to get ready, I followed soon after and told Alli to wait so I could get ready with my cameras. They had chosen a bridge up the trail a bit and we all stood together as the ceremony proceeded.
The sun was just coming up, it was quiet and cold, but beautiful as they exchanged vows and rings. After the ceremony we wandered back down the trail and took photos as we went. The sunshine peaking through the trees was perfection. It was a wonderful way to spend a morning in March!
