Back to the grind.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a lovely holiday and New Years celebrations! It was so good to be home with friends and family and I’m so happy I was able to see mostly everyone I wanted to. I just got back to California today and it’s so warm and green! haha. I start working at my internship tomorrow and this weekend I’m going to start looking for ways to earn money while out here. Whether it be assisting jobs or part time jobs, an income is very necessary at this time. For some reason I’ve been really into shooting portraits lately, which is good since I consider it my weak area of photography. I love to go on shoots with people though and have fun and talk and take pictures of course. The last couple weeks I was home I got to shoot with Joe DiMattia again. He asked me to come on a fun shoot with him one day and I agreed. I love working with Joe because he loves photography (we always have good photo discussions) and he lets me get a fair amount of shooting time in. We had Lauren Lessard modeling for us and her friend (who’s name I cannot remember, I’m sorry!) did her makeup.

Next up I finally got together with my friend Leigh who I met a while ago and we always talked about doing a shoot. It was real cold out and the poor girl’s feet nearly froze but it was fun and I’m really happy with what I got!

And a couple days before I left the East Coast I wanted to do some food shots since I haven’t done any in a while. I really like how they came out and I hope you do too!

I have a lot that I want to do and accomplish in the new year with my career and my work. I have a list of goals I want to work on and hopefully all will go well. I wish everyone well in the new year and hope 2011 is good to you :)
