Ah yes, covid really did a number on the wedding industry! Most of my weddings got pushed to 2021 or we had small ceremonies with masked faces. This wedding was one of those where they had to make changes as time went on, but ultimately they made the best out of the situation! Ashley and Sarah decided to elope on the farm that Ashley had lived and worked at for a while. They added their own personal flair to their day complete with amazing food and florals from some of their favorite Rhode Island businesses! We had early foliage this year which worked out well for the backdrop. We took a stroll through the fields, hung out with the chickens, and wandered through the crops and greenhouses. The ceremony was beautiful with the temperatures and cloud cover perfect. A chicken wandered in here and there and the dogs hung out patiently. Ashley and Sarah had their families come in on zoom / FaceTime to celebrate virtually while they had cake and drank champagne. Sarah cooked up a homemade meal to end the evening by candlelight! It was simple and perfect. I love a farm wedding and I love when animals are present! I know it’s been tough for everyone to change plans but they have truly made the best of it and come up with creative ways to make their day their own, and that has been wonderful to witness!
